DESCRIPTION:Cost: $695.00 \n40-Hour Asbestos Supervisor Initial\, In-Person \n5 – Day Class: Monday – Friday\, March 2 – 6\, 2026\, 8 am – 4 pm  \nLocation: 8 Moulthrop Street\, North Haven\, CT 06473 \nDPH APPROVED ASBESTOS CONTRACTOR/SUPERVISOR INITIAL COURSE: \nApplies to interior asbestos work and friable exterior asbestos work. Required for EPA accreditation and State DPH license for anyone supervising disturbance of > 3 square or 3 linear feet of asbestos. \nGENERAL DESCRIPTION: \nThis is a five day training course that includes lectures\, demonstrations\, at least fourteen (14) hours of hands-on training\, course review\, and a written examination.  Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor courses offered at Chem Scope are CT DPH approved and meet MAP requirements of AHERA\, ASHARA\, NESHAP\, CONES and OSHA.  Refresher courses are required annually for those who are active in the field.  All courses are separate and distinct courses and cannot combined with any other training during the period of the course.  \nNOTE: Each student must attend all days and hours of training\, participate in hands-on activities\, and pass a written examination in order to receive a certificate. Advance payment is required for each student. \n\nCancellation policy\nClass sizes are restricted. In order to provide training to people on waiting lists\, we require at least 1 business day (24 hour) notification that a student will not attend a class. Except in the case of emergencies or illness\, including illness symptoms\, quarantine\, or diagnosis\, we reserve the right to… \n\nIn the case of same-day cancellation for refresher training classes\, refuse refund and retain 100% of the price of each ticket purchased but not used by the registered party. In this case\, students will have to purchase a new ticket to attend a refresher on a different date and cannot transfer their ticket fee.\nIn the case of same-day cancellation for initial training classes\, retain a non-refundable fee equal to 50% of the price of each ticket purchased but not used by the registered party.
